Background Process

 Here's a background I made for the "Midnight Snacks" short. 

Step #1: Thumbnail sketch on paper.

Step #2: I then went in Clip Studio and did a rough sketch. I perspective grid was used to follow a somewhat complex bird's eye view angle,

Step #3: Clean line art with various line thickness for depth.

Step #4: Initial colour blocking.

Step #5: More shadow added with blue overlays.

Step #6: Final background with more blue for a better night effect.

I think the csp file had around 40 layers in total. I think it turned out not too bad.
